journalman's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- News Commentary - Spyware and a Prom King The news today is particularly interesting. The Times reporter, in the spirit of 0liver North, says she cannot recall the source who identified the undercover agent. What a fucking load of crap. I knew right from the beginning... right when Carl's name was thrown into the mix, that two things would happen: 1) They would all be revealed as guilty parties, however 2) They will all get away with it also. It is as if they are firing warning shots. They say to America: "Watch this. We're going to mess up. And we're going to get away with it. That's who you're dealing with. Don't even THINK about messing with us. Capish?" It's pretty scary. One thing I DO like in the news today is about that HS Principal in Long Island who cancelled the prom because: "it is not primarily the sex/booze/drugs that surround this event, as problematic as they might be; it is rather the flaunting of affluence, assuming exaggerated expenses, a pursuit of vanity for vanity's sake - in a word, financial decadence," Hoagland said, fed up with what he calls the "bacchanalian aspects" of the prom. Dude, this guy is awesome. Hell yeah, I agree with that. Does it make me a 'conservative'? If it does, then I'm okay with it. I think a bunch of principals will follow his lead on this, but he's the one who started it. He's the man. 3:17 p.m. - 2005-10-16 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
